Adult Art Lessons at Main Street Lessons of North Canton

Spring Session began March 11, 2013 and will run through May 11th. No classes the week of March 25th. See below for additional information concerning class times.

Summer Session will begin the week of June 3, 2013 (see below for class times) and Fall Session will begin the week of September 9, 2013. More information is posted below.

COLORED PENCIL DRAWING FOR BEGINNING, INTERMEDIATE LEVELS AND ADVANCED LEVELS

An Eight-week Course for Adults* Taught by Cathie Fithian at Main Street  Lessons, 1664 N. Main Street, North Canton, OH  44720  Phone 330/494-8110

Colored Pencil Drawing for Beginning level students serves as a broad introduction to graphite drawing and colored pencil techniques. The graphite drawing portion of the course includes the concepts of contour drawing, upside down drawing, and negative space, as well as understanding light/shadow, various degrees of pencil hardness and control of shading. The colored pencil portion of the course explores limited color theory and basic concepts of color layering and blending and concludes with a final colored pencil project.  This project was completed by Jeff Huss. During his second year of instruction he completed this project!!!

Intermediate Level students continue refining their abilities to see and recreate subtle differences in values, expand their color theory knowledge and further their experience in colored pencil with work on a project of their own choosing.  Advanced Students continue to work on their own projects.                                          

Fall  Session begins the week of September 9th , and will run for eight (8) weeks with a make-up class.  These classes are  at The Main Street Lesson Center located at 1664 N. Main Street of North Canton. (Next to Marcs and Dairy Queen)

Summer Session will begin the week of June 3rd and run through the week of August 6, 2013. No classes the week of July 4th! Students already attending can chose to attend 6 classes for $90.00 or 8 for $125.00

Sending this form alone DOES NOT obligate you or the instructor in any way, but simply lets her know approximately how many students to expect. Payment of the deposit or full class fee along with this Registration form will reserve your spot in class. However, once the deposit or full payment is made, this money is NOT REFUNDABLE. If you pay this money to reserve your spot in class and discover that you will not be able to attend classes this session, the instructor will work with you on an alternate solution; payments are not refundable except in the event that the instructor would need to cancel a session for some reason. If you have questions or concerns about this policy, we would be happy to discuss them with you. If you choose not to make a deposit at this time and send just the registration form below, you will be contacted if it appears you may be closed out of your chosen class to see if you wish to make payment at that time in order to reserve your space.
